Introducing a brand new Altar hanging, celebrating Alban Hefin, the Summer Solstice. Alban Hefin, 'Light of Summer' or 'Light of the shore' is the moment when the sun is at its peak, the longest day of the year. Days have been growing longer since the sun's rebirth at Alban Arthan and from this day forward will gradually get shorter until the sun wanes in power and we arrive once more at Alban Arthan at the sun's rebirth.
This particular wall hanging is decorated with Sunflowers, a bonfire and a pot of honey all symbolic of this solar sabbat.
This wall decoration has been made by us using a natural wooden slice with the bark still attached, the tile measures between 9 to 10 cm.
