Hecate measures around 6 cm in height,  In Greek mythology Hecate is a triple goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, crossroads, transformation, the underworld, the moon etc, etc.   She is truly a multifaceted goddess and if she is a deity you call upon, this Altar Tile would be a great addition to your Altar.

Our Hecate has three sculpted heads and a Moonstone Bead set within her tummy.  This piece honours all three aspects of the goddess.  Moonstone, is representative of the Maiden, the way it has been set within the tummy - the Mother the colour black representing the Crone.

Moonstone is said to be a stone for balancing hormones, receptive in helping fertility and a protective stone for mothers during pregnancy and childbirth.  Moonstone is a calming stone and instills calm dispelling stress.  It is also said to help ease Menopausal symptoms later in life.

Its magical and ritual lore connect it with the Moon.  Many use it in accordance with lunar phases.  It is more potent during the Waxing Moon and less in the Waning Moon cycle although can still be used during this time for divinatory rituals.  Moonstone is a receptive and love drawing stone.  Sometimes used to ease problems between lovers, sometimes just to bring the bearer sleep! Other times to protect during travelling, especially over water!

As this piece is handmade, it is important to point out that each piece can vary slightly, but we believe this adds to the magic and makes each and everyone that little bit more special!
