In Greek mythology Hecate is a triple goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, crossroads, transformation, the underworld, the moon etc, etc. She is truly a multifaceted goddess and if she is a deity you call upon, Hecate's wheel or the Stropholos can be used as a representation of the triple goddess Hecate, either as her in her triple aspect of Maiden, Mother and Crone or as her residing over earth, sea and sky. Her wheel acts as a powerful tool during ritual.
