Ishtar Inanna Goddess Amulet Pendant Necklace

Welcome to our listing for the Ishtar/Inanna Goddess Pendant Necklace.  

Handcrafted upon quality silver plated chain the necklace features a Goddess sculpted from Polymer Clay.  Set within her belly is a Carnelian Gemstone. 

Ishtar/Inanna has golden skin (the colour most associated to her).   At her feet sits Ishtar/Inanna's Star (a Mesopotamian and ancient sumerian symbol of goddess Inanna's and her East Semitic counterpart Ishtar).  I have based this version of Ishtar on the Burney Relief (although Ishtar as a multifaceted goddess can take three forms).  Based on the Burney relief she is shown to be winged (her goddess of war aspect) golden wings which carry her to and from the Neverworld.  My version also wears ceremonial Mesopotamian/Sumerian headwear.  The sacred rod and ring symbol sits either side of the Carnelian bead embedded inside her tummy. 

Carnelian is said to be a stone of Warmth, Strength, courage and creativitiy helping to give emotional balance and aid in physical health.

Its magical uses; Carnelian is a stone of confidence of courage and can bring about confidence of public speaking.  Carnelian can also be used to counteract doubt and negative thoughts and can be used in spells relating to these areas.  Carnelian is thought to guard against those with wish to read your thoughts and in renaissance magic a carnelian was often engraved with a sword or an image of the warrior.  These amulets were then word or carried to protect against enchantments.  Carnelian can also strengthen astral vision.

Your Pendant is supplied with a silver plated necklace chain that is available in choice of chain length from 18 to 24 inches and will be supplied in a little pouch ready for gifting.

As this piece is handmade, it is important to point out that each piece can vary slightly, but we believe this adds to the magic and makes each and everyone that little bit more special!
