This listing is for the Litha Blessings Altar Tile.
This Altar Decoration has been made using a natural wooden slice with the bark still attached and features symbolism relevant to Litha, including Sunflowers and candles, representing the sun's energy and it reaches its height in power.
The Holly and Oak, sitting at opposite sides, representing the Oak and Holly King (and the light and dark half of the year). The Holly king of course, taking the crown at the solstice marking the beginning of our descent back into darkness until we reach rule when the sun is reborn. The Ivy representing eternal life, rebirth and protection. The piece measures approximately 7-9cm across.
This decoration has been decorated by hand using pyrography pen, with each part of the image carefully burnt into the wood by hand before being hand painted.
As this piece has been made using a natural wood slice, the slices can vary slightly in size and shape but we believe this adds to the magic and makes each and everyone that little bit more special!
