Merry Meet!
Welcome to Mercian Forest, a place where you will find everything to meet your Pagan needs.
This listing is for an Altar Tile, celebrating the pagan sabbat and goddess of the same name Ostara.
At this time of equal day and equal night, we are reminded of the need of balance. This, after all, is the time when there is an equal amount of day and night.
The Altar tile has been made by us using a natural wooden slice with the bark still attached and features symbolism relevant to the tale of Ostara.
A long tale made short, Ostara finds an injured bird, transforms the bird into a Hare she calls Lepus. Lepus thanks the Goddess by laying an egg for her every spring. The 'druids egg' a prominent symbol of Alan Eilir which is protected by the Hare.
This tile measures between 9 to 10 cm.
We are based in Wiltshire in the UK, near to our Spiritual home of Avebury, the White Horse and a short distance from Stone Henge. All the items you see on our pages are made by us.
Thank you for looking and Blessed Be )O(
