This listing for the Sekhmet Goddess Pendant necklace.
I have crafted her in a reddy bronze clay. She has an Ankh on one leg (which is a symbol of eternal life) and upon her head sits a Uraeus, a rearing Cobra (which is a symbol of sovereignty, and the divine). Inside her tummy is set a Tiger's Eye gemstone bead.
Sehkmet was a fierce warrior and daughter of Ra. Her breath was likened to fire and the hot winds of the desert. Sehkmet is the protector of truth, balance, and the cosmic order of ma'at. It was said that she could heal the sick or spread disease.
Tiger's Eye is said to be the stone of courage. It is said to enhance confidence, grounding and clarity. Whilst bringing emotional balance and objective thinking.
Its magical correspondences are much the same; ruled by the sun Tiger's eye strengthens convictions to enable courage and confidence. It's a benefical stone for the weak or sick, so it seemed perfect for Sekhmet Altar piece!
As this piece is handmade, it is important to point out that each piece can vary slightly, but we believe this adds to the magic and makes each and everyone that little bit more special! The Necklace length is available in sizes 18 inches to 24 inches.
