Welcome to our listing for a Sol goddess altar decoration.  

Sol is a solar goddess from the Norse pantheon and the personification of the Sun.  Her brother is Mani (the personification of the Moon), her daughter is Sunna who assumed her mothers role after Ragnarök.

This golden clay Goddess is sculpted from Polymer Clay.  Set within her belly is a round Carnelian Gemstone Bead. Her hair is tied in a plait and upon her head sits a Sun crown, across her thighs is the rune Sowilo its meaning simply 'the sun'.

This would make a great addition to any Litha or Lammas Altar where we feel the sun is at its strength.  I would go as far to say, even a relevant Yule Altar decoration to celebrate the return of the Sun!

Carnelian is a stone often associated with the sun, with its warmth and vitality.  Its properties give  strength and courage, it promotes creativity, confidence and is said to increase sexual desire!

Its magical uses are to promote peace and harmony and dispel depression.  Carnelian can be used to level out any doubt and negative thoughts and can be used in spells relating to these issues.

As this piece is handmade, it is important to point out that each piece can vary slightly, but we believe this adds to the magic and makes each and everyone that little bit more special!
