The Summer Solstice is the moment when the sun is at its peak, the longest day of the year. Days have been growing longer since the sun's rebirth at the Winter Solstice and from this day forward will gradually get shorter until the sun wanes in power and we arrive once more at the Winter Solstice at the sun's rebirth.
This Altar tile is decorated with Sunflowers, a bonfire and a pot of honey all symbolic of this solar sabbat. Representing not only the suns solar energy and its bountiful gifts, but of the fires purification and transformation ability that allow us to leave behind the old and embrace the new.
The Altar tile has been made by us using a natural wooden slice with the bark still attached, the tile measures between 9 to 10 cm.
