Tiamat Goddess, Dragon Mother, Dragonic Altar - Black

Tiamat measures around 6 cm in height, my vision of her was as a winged dragon with reptilian skin with a horned headdress and a tail that splits into 3 snake heads that coil around themselves.  Striking and regal, but not too monstrous in appearance. On the day she was made it rained lightly, so I take that as a blessing!  

Tiamat is a Goddess from primordial Mesopotamian Mythology, the goddess of seawater and the origin of all there is.  Mother of monsters, but also the foundation of our world that were born from her severed parts.  She is the goddess of the sea and mountains the sky and all that ever was, the giver of life and bringer of death.  A goddess of creation and destruction.

Many still seek her protection to this day and petition her for healing.  It was once thought, she could scare any evil that could cause illness away.  

Some devotees think of her as fierce dragon mother, a dragon queen calling out to dragon souls.  Those drawn to the draconic path, using dragon magic do not invoke her directly unless needed, but will work with their guardian dragon and elemental dragons instead.  They can still feel her, her playfulness, brooding or mother scorned.

As this piece is handmade, it is important to point out that each piece can vary slightly, but we believe this adds to the magic and makes each and everyone that little bit more special!
